Pandemics are not stopping the creation and performance of music. Over the last few weeks, Instagram has been filled to capacity with live DJ sets, songwriter battles and impromptu jam sessions. Joining the musical movement, Tobe Nwigwe has released more live performances from his Quarantine Series.
Last week, he released the first installment of the series. Featuring David Michael Wyatt, Fat and other members of his musical family, the Houston native interpolated classic Aaliyah records. This time around, he brings the crew back together to performance songs like “Fuego,” “Wavy” and other fan favorites.
Closing out the Quarantine Series, Nwigwe also put together a short question and answer session with Nell and his wife, Fat. In these short clips, the three discuss what it’s like to arrive and thrive in a male dominated music industry.
Tobe Nwigwe may also be looking to bring back his Twisted Sunday series in the near future. This pandemic has brought out the creative juices in many artists and Tobe is no different. Check out his YouTube series above.
