Last week, we introduced you to Houston rapper and community leader, Tobe Nwigwe, with the #FirstToTheAux feature. Today, we’re back to give you the latest visual project from Tobe’s Get Twisted Sunday’s series. Each Sunday, the North Texas graduate offers up a new freestyle, song or video. Over the past year, Tobe has given us freestyles over Rich The Kid’s “New Freezer” and Drake’s “Free Smoke”. He’s also given fans unique visuals for songs like “Reality” and “EBT to BET”. Most recently, he dropped the video for his Tim Woods assisted song, “Ten Toes Down”. This week, Tobe returned with a video for his song, “Tabernacle”.
Adorned in all gold clothing, Tobe raps, “Chang is coming/Word to sounds of blackness/If they kill me, it won’t be like Scarface/It’ll be more like John the Baptist/I’m ready to die for what I believe/That’s why gangstas probably vibe with me.” Shot by Toby Canning, the video shows Tobe, Fat and Nell all in a true regal fashion while talking about issues that are very relevant. Overall, the video is simplistic, yet fly, which fits in with all of the Houston native’s Get Twisted Sunday visuals. Stay tuned next week for another new video from Tobe Nwigwe. For now, enjoy “Tabernacle”.
