After a quiet first few days of free agency, the Denver Broncos have made a splash on the trade front and acquired defensive lineman Jurrell Casey from the Tennesse Titans. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Broncos will send Tennesee a seventh-round draft pick in exchange for the five-time Pro Bowler.

The #Broncos have acquired Jurrell Casey for just a 7th round pick from the #Titans, source said. He carried a big salary.

Jurrell Casey was selected by the Tennesee Titans in the 2011 NFL Draft and has played all nine seasons of his career there. From the year 2015 onwards, Casey had made a Pro Bowl appearance in each of the past five seasons.
Though Casey now finds himself on the wrong side of 30 years old, he still has plenty left in the tank. Casey helped anchor Tennesee’s elite defensive unit over the last couple of years and will now join Von Miller and company in Denver.
As Rapoport pointed out though, Casey does come with a hefty price tag and Tennesee has been looking to clear up cap space all offseason. An already solid Denver defense just got even better with the addition of one of the game’s better interior linemen.
