The Cleveland Cavaliers are not as good as you thought eh? They’re not breezing through the Eastern Conference like most people thought and I am loving it. I’m loving it even more because the Warriors are on eternal beast mode. When have the champions of the previous season looked more hungry than the challengers? Amazing.
Timofey Mozgov, Cleveland Cavaliers center has suffered a strained right shoulder, which is not the worst injury ever but it’s still an injury. ESPN.com say that he could go for an MRI.
“We got some appointments,” Mozgov told ESPN.com. “We’ll see what’s going on. I can tell you nothing right now.”
Mozgov subbed out of the game with 2:42 remaining in the second quarter after picking up his second foul. He could not recall when the injury occurred.
“I just go on the bench and sit for a minute, and there was a pain,” Mozgov said. “But I don’t know what it is. We’re going to see (Friday).“
I could see him making it to the Cavs next game which is Atlanta on Sunday. Two days of rest? I don’t see why he can’t make that. I mean it couldn’t have been that bad if he couldn’t even recall when it happened. Clearly pain isn’t much of a factor if he played with the injury.
Update as of 20/11/15 – 3:45pm ET
Apparently two days rest just won’t do as the Cavaliers have released a statement saying that Mozgov will be out for 10-14 days.
Additional examination and MRI today at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health confirmed the strain. Mozgov will be OUT approximately 10 days to two weeks.
Did I say two days? I meant nearly two weeks, sorry about that don’t mind me.
