Cleveland Cavaliers recently elected to bring big man Timofey Mozgov back to the team by exercising his team option. With a secure contract, what better time to undergo a procedure to clean up some issues?
Mozgov recently went under the knife to clean up some knee issues and he got his knee scoped. He will miss some time but it’s not expected to be anything serious and he should be ready for next season.
Following from Real GM.
Timofey Mozgov underwent successful right knee arthroscopic debridement on Wednesday at the Cleveland Clinic Marymount Surgicenter by Drs. Richard Parker and James Rosneck.
His rehabilitation and return to play protocol is slated for six weeks.
And from ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

Mozgov’s health is important for the Cavs going into next season. Actually, the health of the entire team is important, especially considering how last season ended for the Cavs. Both Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving went down with season-ending injuries and it ruined their great playoff push. Mozgov doing a needed surgery to help his career is best for both he and the Cavs right now.
