Today, Times Square is known as a tourist attraction that features luxury hotels, ABC studios and much more. However, it didn’t always look like that. Before the days of Good Morning America and ice skating in Bryant Park, Times Square could be a difficult area to get through without running into some trouble. Netflix seeks to take us back to the era with its newest documentary, Crime Scene: The Times Square Killer.
“Seemingly random acts of brutality shock even the most seasoned NYC homicide detectives, stoking fears of an elusive serial killer operating within 1970’s era Times Square, a near-lawless sexual playground where forbidden fantasies were fulfilled, including murder,” the description reads.
Netflix is no stranger to true crime documentaries. The streaming giant has found success with projects like Tiger King, Who Killed Malcolm X? and Making A Murderer. Now, they’re hoping this film can draw the same attention to the platform. Check out the trailer before the documentary arrives on December 29.
