Justin Hamilton was essentially a throw-in and was one of the many pieces included in last month’s trade between the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns that sent Goran Dragic to the Heat.
Hamilton is a center known for his time in the D-league. He ended up going to the New Orleans Pelicans in the Dragic deal and the Pelicans immediately waived him. Now, ESPN.com’s Marc Stein is reporting that Hamilton has a new home with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Great news for Hamilton who will join an NBA team but horrible news for the former Michigan star, Glenn Robinson, Jr. In 25 games for the Timberwolves, Robinson had averaged just 1.2 points in 4.3 minutes per game. Hamilton hasn’t contributed much more than that in Miami, but the Timberwolves are essentially just moving out one shorter end-of-bench player for another taller one.
