Timberwolves To Sign Mo Williams
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to a one-year deal with veteran guard Mo Williams worth $3.75 million. Williams led the charge of a lacking Portland Trail Blazers bench last season and averaged 9.7 points per game.
Timberwolves president and head coach Flip Saunders has yet to budge on any incessant trade offers coming in for All-Star forward Kevin Love. Bringing in a veteran guard like Williams isn’t a loud move, but it could suggest that Saunders will look to salvage what he can and take on the challenge of trying to coach this current Minnesota team to Kevin Love’s standards before that inevitable trade deadline.
