There are no two hotter names in Hollywood right now than Chris Hemsworth and Tiffany Haddish. Hemsworth is coming off an incredibly successful run in Avengers: Endgame. His latest project has brought in upwards of $2 billion and the total is still growing. Meanwhile, Tiffany Haddish is coming off of the successful release of her Netflix animated series, Tuca & Bertie. Not to mention, she was one of the most talked about stars of last night’s Met Gala. Today, the two announced that they would be joining forces to create their next project.
Chris Hemsworth and Tiffany Haddish will star alongside each other in a new buddy cop movie called Down Under Cover. Written by Peter Hoare, the film will see the Avengers actor play an undercover cop attempting to solve a string of casino robberies where a group of Australian erotic dancers are believed to be the culprits. Meanwhile, Haddish will be investigating the crimes as a sole detective. Along the way, the two clash and eventually team up to bring down the suspects.
The film has no release date at the moment. More details will be reported as they become available.
