It doesn’t appear as though Tiago Splitter will see the basketball court anytime soon. According to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, the big man will be out six weeks with a calf strain:
Atlanta Hawks' Tiago Splitter will miss at least six more weeks with a right calf strain. Story to come.

The former Spurs center has not played yet this season with a hamstring issue. The big man has dealt with injuries his entire career. Since signing with the Hawks last summer, Splitter has only played 36 games.
Fortunately for the Hawks, they have the means to deal with Splitter’s injury. Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard make up one of the best frontcourt duos in the NBA. Meanwhile, Kris Humphries, Mike Muscala, and Mike Scott make up a competent backup rotation at the big spots.
When healthy, Tiago Splitter is a talented defender and good finisher around the rim in the pick-and-roll. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to stay on the court. In six seasons in the NBA, he has only played more than 60 games once. The Hawks could use Splitter’s presence off the bench but for now they will need him to get healthy.
