Thursday Night football featured an AFC South showdown between the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Both teams came into tonight with identical records sitting at a whopping 2-12. A better phrase for the game would have been to just to use that poop emoji. But in more serious terms the implications of the game mean a lot in regards for getting the number one pick in this May’s amateur player draft.
The Jaguars were able to pull out the victory in large part thanks to Jordan Todman’s 62 yard rushing touchdown.
The Final score was 21-13 with Jacksonville victorious. The great news for Titans fans is that their team takes the lead in regards of securing the first overall pick. The Titans will need the Buccaneers to lose one of their final two games to ensure the first pick.
This tie-breaker occurs because of Tampa Bay’s strength of schedule thanks to the weak NFC South.
As of today Marcus Mariota of Oregon would be the first player taken. Mariota is considered to be the next big thing at quarterback in the opinion of most. I happen to disagree but that’s a story for another day.
Today marks the final Thursday Night football game of the season.
