When Kevin Durant opted to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder and join the already high-powered Golden State Warriors, the move was expected to be under major scrutiny for the immediate future. These expectations have come to fruition and then some. While much has been made about the seemingly tense relationship between Durant and former teammate Russell Westbrook, for the most part, neither Westbrook nor Durant has added much fuel to the fire.
Tonight, Durant is expected to make his highly anticipated debut back in Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, for the first time in an opposing uniform. The crowd is expected to be ruthless and hostile as fans certainly felt and continue to feel animosity towards the Warriors star after his decision to abandon ship. With Durant’s decision still fresh in the minds of many Oklahomans, fans have made a t-shirt expected to be worn tonight during the game:

It’s easy to see the obvious shot at Durant as the front emphasizes his initials and his nickname ‘KD,’ in the word ‘KowarD’ and the back features a cupcake, a recent symbol attached to Durant after an Instagram post by Russell Westbrook last year supposedly regarding Durant’s decision.
After the news came that KD had made his decision to sign with the Golden State Warriors, the Texas product was subject to plenty of scrutiny. With this much ongoing backlash towards Durant since his decision, Durant even hired extra armed security before tonight’s marquee matchup though his teammate Andre Iguodala insists it’s just another game. While it may be just another game for Iggy and the rest of the Warriors, you can guarantee that Russell Westbrook and those Oklahoma City fans are going to have the arena rocking tonight in a game that should have an almost playoff-life atmosphere.
