
The Oklahoma City Thunder have picked up the option on the contract of head coach Billy Donovan for the 2019-20 season, reports ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski:
The Oklahoma City Thunder has picked up option on Coach Billy Donovan's contract for the 2019-20 season, the fifth year on his original deal, league source tells ESPN. Donovan is the fourth winningest coach with same team over his four years, behind Kerr, Popovich and Stevens.

Donovan, 53, left his head-coaching position at the University of Florida to take over for Scott Brooks in Oklahoma City prior to the 2015-16 season. Since then, he has coached the Thunder to a combined 168-106 record.
The Thunder are off to a strong start this season. Their 18-10 record has them at third in a tightly contested conference. The biggest story of their season has been Paul George, who is posting career-best numbers in the following categories: points per game (24.9), rebounds per game (7.8), assists per game (4.3) and steals per game (2.1).
