Some more trade winds are blowing throughout the NBA with a reported three-team deal being discussed between New Orleans, the Timberwolves and the Phoenix Suns. Nothing concrete has been finalized but negotiations are underway that would see versatile player Andrei Kirilenko land in Minnesota. Kirilenko is also being courted by the Brooklyn Nets – their owner Mikhail Prokhorov is a friend of Kirilenko’s- and the Golden State Warriors have shown interest in signing ‘AK-47’.
In the deal, the Phoenix Suns would send Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick to New Orleans, and the Suns would get Wesley Johnson and a future first-round pick from Minnesota. The source said New Orleans would trade Brad Miller to the Suns. It’s unclear what Minnesota would get from the deal.
