Today it was announced that Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell will join Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, a Martin McDonagh film in the works. According to Deadline, the film is being financed by Fox Searchlight and Film4, and it’s believed to be about a 50-year-old woman whose daughter is murdered. This turns into a battle with the police in her hometown, as she believes that they are more concerned with “torturing black people than getting justice”.
Graham Broadbent and Peter Czernin will produce for Blueprint Pictures, alongside McDonagh. The company is known for prestigious pictures such as In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths.
Three Billboards will begin production in April, and the film will be shot on location in North Carolina.
