Director Peter Jackson announced that the third ‘Hobbit’ film in the franchise will receive a new name.
The film that was originally titled ‘The Hobbit: There and Back Again’, will now me titled ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’.
Jackson broke the news via his Facebook page in a lengthy statement.

Marin Freeman, Evangeline Lily, Luke Evans, Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom, Ian McKellen, Hugo Weaving and Cate Blanchett will all return for the sequel.
‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ will hit theaters on December 17.
