While on his world tour, The Weeknd got some exciting news. Earlier today, MTV announced the performance lineup for this year’s VMA’s, and he will be one of the few artists hitting the stage.
The prestigious awards show will be airing on August 27 in Los Angeles. While Abel’s “Reminder” video has been nominated for Video of the Year, the Canadian rapper now gets to serenade fans on stage during the awards show. Katy Perry, Lorde, Ed Sheeran are set to join him, with more being announced in the coming days.
While being on tour, The Weeknd has been having a great summer. His latest album, “Beauty Behind the Madness” has reached 100 consecutive weeks on the Billboard charts. As well, his single “Reminder” from his Starboy album has a remix featuring A$AP Rocky and Young Thug. This Starboy has had a great summer.
