
Netflix has announced that they will release the Aaron Sorkin led drama Trial of the Chicago 7 on October 7, 2020.
The film tells the stories of Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, Tom Hayden and Bobby Seale. The four men were charged with inciting a riot after they organized protests in Chicago following the 1968 Democratic National Convention.

Sacha Baron Cohen will portray Hoffman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen will play Seale, Eddie Redmayne will play Hayden and Mark Strong will be Jerry Rubin. Michael Keaton, John Carroll Lynch, Alex Sharp and Frank Langella will also appear in the film.
Behind the scenes, Tyler Thompson, Matt Jackson Marc Platt and Stuart Besser will produce the film. Laurie MacDonald, Marc Butan, Walter Parkes, James Rodenhouse, Shivani Rawat and Anthony Katagas are executive producers
Along with announcing the release date, the streaming service unveiled the first images from the films. In these photos, we get our first look at Abdul-Mateen as Bobby Seale. Check out the photos and release date above.
