
On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, actress Sepideh Moafi reportedly joined the cast of HBO’s medical procedural drama The Pitt. Moafi is a singer and actress best known for her work on several premium cable shows, including Showtime’s The L Word: Generation Q and HBO’s The Deuce. She last appeared in FX’s Class of ’09 and Max’s Scavengers Reign in 2023.

Sepideh Moafi joins a cast that already includes Noah Wyle, Taylor Dearden, Patrick Ball, Shawn Hatosy, Isa Briones, and Tracy Ifeachor. Led by R. Scott Gemmill, The Pitt follows the “daily lives of healthcare professionals in a Pittsburgh hospital as they juggle personal crises, workplace politics, and the emotional toll of treating critically ill patients, revealing the resilience required in their noble calling.” Season one of The Pitt debuted in January and received rave reviews, earning a second season. The storyline of Season Two will reportedly take place 10 months after the events of Season One, chronicling the daily lives of healthcare professionals in a Pittsburgh hospital over a July 4th weekend. Production of Season Two began earlier this month and is expected to air in January.
