Nothing truly grips the minds and timelines of people across the world quite like a true crime documentary. Over time, we’ve seen projects such as Making A Murderer and The Two Killings of Sam Cooke take off via Netflix. Now, the streaming giant is offering its take on another story. On Friday, the streaming giant rolled out the first trailer for its highly-anticipated documentary, The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes.
“Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe’s tragic death spawned conspiracies and rumors for decades, often overshadowing her talent and shrewdness. By piecing together her final weeks, days, and hours through previously unheard recordings of those who knew her best, the film illuminates more of her glamorous, complicated life, and offers a new perspective on that fateful night,” the trailer’s description reads.
The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes adds to an exciting month for the streaming platform. In the near future, Season two of Russian Doll, Anatomy of a Scandal and the final season of Ozark are all expected to debut this April. Capping off the month, The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes will debut on April 27. Check out the trailer below.
