Apple’s star-studded series, The Morning Show, is not done just yet. Variety has reported that the Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon led series has been renewed for a third season. However, there will be a few changes to the show moving forward.
Apple has announced that The Morning Show will undergo a few changes behind the scenes. Most notably, Kerry Ehrin, who served as showrunner on the show’s first two seasons, will transition to a consultant role. Ehrin has signed an overall deal with the tech giant and will begin working on other projects that will demand more of her time. In her place, Charlotte Stoudt has signed a new, multi-year overall deal with Apple and will step in as the show runner.
“I’m excited to be joining forces with Apple TV+ and The Morning Show,” Stoudt told Variety.
“The cast, led by the phenomenal Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, are truly to die for. Kerry, Mimi and Michael, and the teams at Media Res, Hello Sunshine and Echo Films, have created an irresistible world that is equally delicious and provocative.”
Season two came to an exciting close in November 2021. It is unclear when the show will return to Apple TV+.
