It’s been awhile since we last received a new project from The Internet, but that will change in the near future. After being away for three years, The Internet will drop their new album, Hive Mind, this summer. The first single from their newest project is called “Come Over” and today, we received the visuals to accompany the song. The new, Syd directed video features Syd courting the woman of her dreams by serenading her in a variety of ways. Like all good friends do, the rest of the members of the group help Syd get the job done.
In her directorial debut, Syd does a great job of experimenting with transitions between scenes and implementing a playful color scheme that perfectly fits the band’s brand. Going forward, it will definitely be interesting to see what else Syd and company have in store for future videos leading up to Hive Mind.
The release of their new video comes on the heels of the announcement of The Now Now Tour. Beginning this month, The Internet will join the Gorrillaz on their nineteen city arena tour. Along with Little Dragon and the Gorillaz, The Internet will stop in Barcelona, Paris, London and Toronto before ending their tour in the United States with shows in Philadelphia, Atlanta and Brooklyn.
