
TheGrio will simulcast the first presidential debate of the ongoing election cycle. The media outlet will begin live coverage of the debate on Thursday, June 27 at 8:30 p.m. EST. The network’s Washington, D.C. Bureau Chief April Ryan and senior correspondent Natasha Alford will co-host a pre-show before the event. Afterward, the two will return to co-host a show examining the evening’s biggest moments. Throughout both shows, Ryan and Alford will be joined by the media outlet’s columnists, including Touré and Michael Harriot.
“Through our pre-show and post-show coverage of the presidential debate, theGrio will provide comprehensive analysis to ensure that viewers gain a deeper understanding of the political landscape and the stakes involved for America,” Allen Media Group CEO Byron Allen said.

In addition to TheGrio, NBC News, CBS News, ABC News, PBS News and MSNBC will simulcast the debate while CNN will manage the main broadcast. Before and after the event, several networks, including MSNBC, C-Span, ABC News Live and NewsNation, will provide pre and post-debate coverage.
The event is set to begin Thursday, June 27 at p.m. EST in Atlanta, Georgia at CNN.
