Prepare to do the truffle shuffle because the Goonies are BACK!
Director Richard Donner has confirmed that the sequel to the kids adventure flick is in the works and is being written by the original film’s executive producer Steven Spielberg.
The news comes almost 30 years since ‘The Goonies’ hit theaters back in 1985. Many of the original film’s actors including Sean Astin, Josh Brolin and Corey Feldman expressed interest in doing a sequel.
‘The Goonies’ was a box office smash and grossed $61 million and became a cult classic.
No plot details or official casting decisions have been announced yet.
