New York is having a run right now that bridges the new generation and the previous generation. This fall, we’ve gotten new music from Tekashi 6ix9ine, an album from Jay Critch and a joint project from Dave East and Styles P. Not to mention, we could be getting a new project from The Lox in the near future. One project coming from a group out of New York that is confirmed is Diplomatic Immunity. After a fourteen year layoff, The Diplomats have reunited to drop the first single from their upcoming project.
The first single, “Sauce Boyz”, is produced by The Heatmakerz. Juelz Santana, Jim Jones Cam’ron and Freekey Zeekey all shine on the new record. On the first single, they rap, “I was watching all these rappers rocking fanny packs/I was asking myself, ‘what kind of man is that?’/And that’s a shot, motherf*cker can you handle that?” If this is a sign of what is to come, then the Diplomatic Immunity project will definitely be in the conversation for project of the year. Stay tuned for more new music from The Diplomats as we near the Thanksgiving release date. In the meantime, check out “Sauce Boyz” above.
