Things are starting to get a bit more crowded on set!
As Disney’s 20th Century Studios begins to put together the pieces of the long-awaited Devil Wears Prada sequel, names are being added to the call sheet. Fans can expect to see many of the film’s original stars, including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Tibor Feldman, Emily Blunt, Tracie Thoms, and Stanley Tucci. They can also expect to see several new faces, including Simone Ashley, Helen J. Shen, Conrad Ricamora, Caleb Hearon, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, and Pauline Chalamet.
The Devil Wears Prada II will reportedly follow “Runway’s terrifying editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing.” As a result, Priestly, played by Steep, goes toe-to-toe with “her one-time assistant who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group, with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.”
Back in the director’s chair yet again, David Frankel, who directed the original, will return for the sequel. By his side, Brosh McKenna, who wrote the screenplay for the 2006 film with Karen Rosenfelt, will return to write the sequel. While it’s still early, the film is on track for a May 1, 2026, release.
