After a successful run last year, Netflix will return with a new season of The Circle in April. Much like season one, the show will follow the lives of complete strangers as they attempt to climb the social virtual ladder through social media without meeting each other in person. In the end, only one winner will take home the grand cash prize. Last year, Sammie Cimarelli of Miami took home the award. This year, a new contestant will come up in a major way.
This season will play out differently than previous seasons. Instead of releasing the entire season at once, Netflix will roll out season two in increments. The season will kick off with the release of four episodes each. The following two Wednesdays will each feature four new episodes. On May 5, the streaming platform will roll out the season finale.
“We’re experimenting with the release format so you have time to dissect and dish on every step of the competition as it unfolds,” Brandon Riegg of Netflix told Variety.
The first set of episodes will be released on April 14. Check out the first teaser for season two below.
