The Chicago Bulls have been rumored to be going after Orlando Magic shooting guard Arron Afflalo. Afflalo is coming off his best season averaging 18 PPG while shooting 45%. This would be a move that makes sense for both sides though. Orlando trying to create roster space at the shooting guard position for Victor Oladipo to take over the starting job at shooting guard. Which would more than likely mean Orlando drafts Dante Exum who’ve reportedly had high interest in the 18 year old point guard out of Australia.
The deal also makes sense for Chicago who desperately needs a go to scoring option besides Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. Chicago has had offensive issues since Derrick Rose was drafted by Chicago he’s been their only true scorer. Since the injury woes Rose has dealt with the past two seasons and the trade of forward Luol Deng The Bulls have altered their system going through Center Joakim Noah to really help move the ball around. The addition of Afflalo would be big if Chicago does own the 16th and the 19th pick and with Orlando in the middle of a rebuild I’m sure one of those picks will be involved.
