Days ago, Twitter went up in a frenzy because an opening scene of The Batman leaked online. Instead of revolting against the leak, Warner Bros. and director Matt Reeves made the decision to feed their rabid fan base. During the first half of the 2022 AFC Championship, Reeves and company shared the “Funeral Scene” of the upcoming film.
In the short clip, Pattinson enters a funeral as Gotham City Police Department Commissioner James Gordon discusses the disappearance of a fellow officer. Much to his surprise, the missing officer appear moments later by way of a depleted motor vehicle with a bomb strapped to his neck. As all of this chaos unfold, Pattinson shares an intense stare down with man who is seemingly the Riddler.
