‘American Hustle’ and ‘Gravity’ lead the pack for the 2014 Oscar nominations with ten nominations each with ’12 Years a Slave’ not far behind with nine.
All three photos are nominated for Best Picture along with ‘Philomena’, ‘Her,’ ‘Captain Phillips’, ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ and ‘Nebraska’.
Best Actress pins Amy Adams (‘American Hustle’) against Judi Dench (‘Philomena’), Sandra Bullock (‘Gravity’) Cate Blanchett (‘Blue Jasmine’), and the Oscar juggernaut Meryl Streep (‘August: Osage County’)
against each other for an Oscar.
Best Actor nominees include Christian Bale (‘American Hustle’), Bruce Dern (‘Nebraska’), Leonardo DiCaprio (‘The Wolf of Wall Street’), Matthew McConaughey (‘Dallas Buyers Club’) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (’12 Years a Slave’)
Actor Chris Hemsworth and Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs announced the winners early this morning (Jan. 16).
The 2014 Academy Awards will be held on March 2 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
