Hold the phone, there’s another ‘Terminator’ movie on the way? It’s certainly news to me, but apparently very much true. Although the film is in the very early stages of pre-production (there isn’t even a director attached since Justin Lin dropped out), we have received some comforting news from Producer Megan Ellison. After fans tweeted to her saying, “hope you can bring this franchise back from the brink of PG-13 HELL,” obviously referring to the disappointing ‘Terminator: Salvation,’ Ellison responded “We can’t really tell you guys anything about Terminator BUT it will be an R rated film as God and James Cameron intended.”
I think it is fantastic that the producer of the film plans on sticking to the hardcore violence these films originally had. Hopefully she can keep her word, ‘The Expendables 2’ recently had controversy regarding its PG-13 rating.
The film is still very far away so there is no release date yet but hopefully we will start receiving information soon. Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger has retired from politics, you think he will return to star? I sure hope so!
