On Saturday, July 29, Terence “Bud” Crawford will attempt to become the first man to win an undisputed in two different weight classes during the four-belt era. The Omaha, Nebraska is more than confident that he will walk away with the win.
“Everything about me is better than Errol,” Crawford said during the final pre-fight press conference.
“When you look at what I do in the ring, it’s better than what he does. Come fight night, I’m going to prove every doubter wrong. I’m going to show that I’m the best fighter in the world.”
With that said, Crawford is not interested in having his career defined by one fight. In fact, he believes that he is already one of the greatest welterweight champions in boxing history. In his words, a win against unified champion Errol Spence Jr. would be the “cherry on top.”
“My name already up there,” Crawford told Flores of Premier Boxing Champions.
“It’s just a matter of going out there and putting the cherry on top. Furthering that legacy.”
On Saturday, Crawford will have the opportunity to back up his words when he meets Spence Jr. in the center of the ring at T-Mobile Arena.
