
You may not be familiar with Tekashi 6ix9ine, but you will be familiar very soon. The twenty-one-year-old rapper out of Brooklyn is one of the fastest rising rappers out of New York and his video for his newest song, “Gummo”, proves that he is here to stay. In true New York fashion, Tekashi takes viewers around his block and introduces you to his crew. The video is simple, but it gets the point across. Tekashi is here and he is not to be messed with.
The song, “Gummo”, is equally impressive, yet simple. The record showcases Tekashi’s energy and charisma. Tekashi starts out the record by rapping, “Pop these n*ggas like a wheelie, nigga, you a silly n*gga/In the hood with them billy n*ggas and them Hoover n*ggas/You run up and they shootin’ n*ggas, we ain’t hoopin’, n*gga.” The song really gets stuck in your head when the song reaches the chorus. Tekashi raps, “I’m on some rob a n*gga sh*t, take a n*gga bitch/Do the dash in the whip, count the cash in the whip/I pull up with a stick, I let that sh*t hit/Shout out… but I f*cked that n*gga b*tch.”
