Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine will reportedly take the stand during his federal racketeering trial, testifying to offering $50k for a murder.
According to court documents obtained by Complex, the Brooklyn rapper will not only dish on plans to contract a killer but his music and lyrics will also be used during the trial. Shawn Setaro reports a 41-page document shares details on Tekashi 6ix9ines involvement as a witness.
A spokesperson could not confirm but also, did not deny a subject identified as CW-2 for cooperating witness, as Tekashi 6ix9ine. The documents reveal how CW-2 shared with Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, he expected to pay $50,000 to anyone who murdered Anthony “Harv” Ellison. Ellison faces kidnapping and robbery charges from a 2018 incident where Tekashi was the victim.
The filing continues to detail the government’s plan to use Tekashi 6ix9ine lyrics as confirmation of violent tendencies. Gummo, Kooda, and Billy are being used against the rapper and the other alleged members of the Nine Trey blood gang.
The documents also claim Tekashi will testify his involvement with a 2017 assault against rapper Trippie Redd and his targeting of rapper Casanova. Like Tekashi 6ix9ine, both Trippie Redd and Casanova are not mentioned by name only. Labels officials could not confirm nor deny.
Tekashi 6ix9ine beefed up his legal team adding Alex Spiro who’s notable clients include 21 Savage and Jay Z. The federal racketeering case is set to go to trial on September 4.
