Tekashi 6ix9ine faces new legal action while behind bars on federal racketeering charges.
According to TMZ, the “FEFE” rapper is being sued by fast-fashion brand Fashion Nova for not following through on brand promotions. The lawsuit claims that Tekashi 6ix9ine and his team hid his criminal situation from them, leaving them clueless when making the deal.
Fashion Nova allegedly paid Tekashi 6ix9ine a $225,000 advance in October 2018. Two weeks later, the rapper was behind bars, unable to fulfill his end of the deal. The brand also claims Tekashi 6ix9ine’s criminal trial prohibited him from being a good brand ambassador.
Allegedly, Tekashi 6ix9ine was to return the advance which apparently never happened. Now, Fashion Nova is seeking $2.25 million in damages. Tekashi 6ix9ine is set to be released from prison this summer. His co-defendants have appealed their sentencings.
