Tekashi 6ix9ine is in hot water for allegedly scamming the fashion brand in a deal.
And the saga continues, Tekashi 6ix9ine can’t seem to catch a break. According to TMZ, the rapper is currently under fire for allegedly scamming Fashion Nova in a six-figure deal.
6ix9ine inked a deal with Fashion Nova, which included the rapper name-dropping the clothing brand on “MAMA” with Nicki Minaj and Kanye West. “MAMA” appears on his new album Dummy Boy. The deal also included the rainbow rapper featuring the brand in the music video to the record. The lyric that was originally supposed to be “Splish splash Fashion Nova make that ass phat,” was changed to “Splish splash apple bottoms make that ass phat.”
The change in lyrics is speculated to be in connection with news swirling that Nicki Minaj asked 6ix9ine to change the reference due to her and Cardi B’s on-going feud. Cardi b recently collaborated with Fashion Nova for a new clothing line.
TMZ also reports that Fashion Nova paid the rapper the sum upfront. As 6ix9ine awaits his trial set for September 2019, the fashion brand will not be able to do anything about the deal until then.
