It’s weird to say, but Bobby Shmurda has been the biggest name in music for the last twelve hours and he’s not even free. Not to mention, he hasn’t put out a new record in years. However, the Brooklyn rapper made headlines earlier today when his mother posted on Instagram. Ms. Leslie Pollard noted on Instagram that her son had only twenty-five more months to go before being released from prison. While that is a bit of time to go, it does seem like a glimmer of hope for a young star who has seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows over for the past five years. With the news of release hitting the internet, it only made sense for him to make his way back into the music scene.
At midnight, Tekashi 6ix9ine took to all streaming platforms to release the record he has been previewing on Instagram for some time now. Teakshi 6ix9ine has released “Stoopid”, which features a newly recorded verse from Bobby himself. Reminiscent of the sound that made Bobby and Rowdy famous, the new single has a bounce and a New York style sound that makes it all their own. Not to mention, Tekashi 6ix9ine sounds like he may have his tenth Billboard charting single on his hand. With everything building towards Bobby’s release, it feels great to have him on a new song.
