More trouble for Tekashi 6ix9ine as he was arrested this morning, along with some of his former associates, for racketeering charges.
TMZ broke the news:
Law enforcement sources tell us … 6ix9ine was arrested Sunday night by ATF agents in NYC, and the agents also hauled in his associate, Shottie, at the same time. You’ll recall Tekashi had just fired Shottie and much of his management team last week.
This comes just days after Tekashi fired all of his team for skimming money and reportedly even giving out his mother’s address to people. Tekashi went on the Breakfast Club last week to speak to Charlemagne and the crew about how he’s trying to rebrand himself and change the way he’s portrayed in the media. This arrest won’t go to help those efforts.
While the story is developing and we’ll most likely get more information as the court proceedings begin, this isn’t Tekashi’s first time in court. He went to court once because a fan was suing him for punching him at a concert and is currently on probation as well. A probation that includes not being able to shout ‘Treyway’ on songs. He won’t have to worry about that anymore since he split ties with his former associates. Now he’s going to have to worry about some new legal issues.
