Drip is on track to become Hip-Hop’s next buzzword. If you are not dripping, you are drowning and Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley is back with new music, following suit. Joined by Migos member Offset, the two rappers take listeners back, reminiscing on times where the drip was dry. Pray For The Drip quotes Meek Mill’s most popular lines “I used to pray for times like this to rhyme like this, so I had to grind like that to shine like this” a young rappers daily devotion.
Both rappers remain true to their individual technique. Tee Grizzley’s style of colorful storytelling amended by concise metaphors and wordplay balance out with Offset delivering an energetic, uptempo verse in full form. With 2:49 to spare, both rappers get the job done, subtly flexing with lines about Bentleys and Lamborghinis, reminding listeners that the drip did not come easy.
Pray For The Drip comes ahead of Tee Grizzley’s upcoming project Still My Moment, a follow-up to his 2017 debut My Moment releasing November 9.
