Teddy Bridgewater got great news on Monday. Yes, Teddy Bridgewater’s career isn’t over yet after it looked like he torn every possible fiber in his knee. After missing about a year and a half of game action, Bridgewater is finally cleared by team doctors to return to the practice field. With Sam Bradford potentially suffering through a career-ending knee issue, Bridgewater’s return comes at an opportune time.
Ian Rapoport and NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero wrote the following Sunday:
“Sources close to Bridgewater say he is ready to go. He has had no setbacks, and nothing should hold him back during his physical. The team has made no decision regarding his status and won’t until after the physical. A decision could be this week; it could be next week. He has been throwing and doing football activities in rehab, but obviously, practice is different. The Vikings do believe he’s working incredibly hard and has done everything he needs to do.”
Minnesota has an interesting quarterback dilemma on their hands. Case Keenum has taken the reigns of a first-place Vikings team. The Vikings are 4-2 and tied with the Packers and seem to be the favorites now that Aaron Rodgers is likely done for the season. We haven’t seen Bridgewater since 2015 when he threw 14 touchdowns that season.
