Game one of the USA’s FIBA World Cup campaign is done and it looked like another warm up game to be completely honest. The USA look very dominant in this game. I really don’t know why people think they might not win it all. Just because Paul George, Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant aren’t playing. This is the youngest USA squad since 1992 and the play they have shown throughout the past month and tonight shows to me that they can comfortably retain the World title.
Klay Thompson was the points leader of the game with 18 points but the main stat of the night was on Finland’s side. 31 turnovers. You could say Finland gave USA the game, or you could say USA’s defence is lockdown. Depends on how you watch the game.
