Kevin Durant’s departure from Oklahoma City has rubbed many the wrong way. Fans have burned his jersey and called him names. A restaurant under his name has closed to come back with a new one. Thunder fans, to say the least, are not happy.
But the ultimate show of dissatisfaction is none of those things. Instead it comes from an algebra teacher – a recent graduate from the University of Oklahoma – in Indianapolis.
Tucker Hein has created a “No KD” Zone in his classroom.
The meaning? Students are not allowed to “take the easy way out” or “walk away from a challenge.” It comes with the promise that Hein will not quit on his students if they do not quit on him. You know, like Kevin Durant just did:

Hein spoke to News 9 in Oklahoma about the viral hit (h/t Charles Curtis of ForTheWin):
He says he was wanting something to remind his students to work hard, and he came up with the KD bulletin board idea the day before school started.
He told me he wondered if people would think it was stupid, and never dreamed it would get so much attention, or he would have made it look nicer.
Hein says when his students saw it, they got into a big debate about Durant leaving the Thunder, and that his boss, the school principal, cracked up when he saw it.
I guess that’s a pretty good lesson.
