Tayshaun Prince misses the Detroit Pistons, when Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace, and Chauncey Billups were running the court with him and it’s obvious. He was recently traded to the Boston Celtics from the Memphis Grizzlies for Jeff Green and some assortment of draft picks that the Celtics are loving, but Tayshaun Prince wants to win.
According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald:
Acquired as a moveable asset in the Jeff Green trade, the Celts have been trying to roll Prince over into another draft pick for their satchel. Failing that by the Feb. 19 NBA dealing deadline, the club will resume talks with Prince’s side regarding a buyout….
“Obviously I want to be in a winning situation,” Prince said. “Everybody wants to be in a winning situation, make no mistake about it, especially toward the end of your career.
“But at the end of the day, it’s about doing what’s right and going out there and having fun. If you get to the point where I am in my career after all these years, you just want to go out there and have a chance to win and do the right things.”
Unfortunately, that probably won’t happen for Tayshaun Prince in a Celtics uniform, because his career is nearing the end and the Celtics are just starting there career. He has hit a slump in his career as well and his career has unraveled. We all remember his block on Reggie Miller though, and we all remember his glory days in Detroit.
