Taylor Swift sits atop the Billboard Hot 100 once more. “Cruel Summer” becomes the tenth single from the global star to earn recognition as the top song on the charts.
Swift is not alone in her ascent to the upper echelon of the charts. Following close behind her latest number one hit, “Paint The Town Red” by Doja Cat sits at number two and “Snooze” by SZA comes in at number three. Rounding out the top five, “IDGAF” by Drake featuring Yeat rises to the fourth spot and Bad Bunny’s “Monaco” debuts at number five.
Bad Bunny may sit in fifth place on the Billboard Hot 100, but his latest album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Manana, come in at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Right behind him, Drake’s For All The Dogs comes in at number two. Not far off, Offset’s Set It Off debuts at number five and Zach Bryan’s self-titled LP moves back up one spot to number four on the Billboard 200 chart.
Looking ahead, the fight for the top spots on the Billboard 200 will become increasingly interesting as Meek Mill and Rick Ross prepare to share their first joint LP. Also, Swift is set to release her version of 1989 on October 31 and Nicki Minaj is nearing the release of Pink Friday 2 in mid-November.
