In 2017, Texas native, Taymor Travon McIntyre, blew up in the music industry under than name Tay-K. Thanks to records like “The Race” the Texas teenager went from being relatively unknown to being the biggest name in music. Unfortunately, the attention that was brought to his music soon shifted over to his legal battles. While his music career was blowing up, Tay-K was on the run from various legal charges. After nearly a year on the run, Tay-K was captured and everything has been downhill from there.
Despite the success of his single, “Hard”, since being put behind bars Tay-K has seen very little hope in winning his legal battle against the state of Texas. This week, the bad news continued for the Texas rapper. According to a report from the Texas State-Telegram, Tay-K’s co-defendant, Sean Robinson, has plead guilty to charges relating to the death of Texas resident, Ethan Walker. As a result, Robinson will be sentenced to forty years behind bars with the possibility of receiving parole after serving eighteen years.
After learning of the news, Ethan Walker’s father, Richard Walker, said, “It’s one more down and a couple to still go.” Walker also added, “This was just about wasted lives. The wasted lives of everyone involved. [Robinson will] still be here when his time is served, but Ethan won’t.”
Tay-K remains in prison awaiting trial for two counts of capital murder.
