For years, TAVE has been the songwriter, producer, or even A&R behind singles, EPs, and projects from hitmakers like 6LACK and Masego. However, over the last year or so, the London-born multi-hyphenate has stepped out of the shadows and into the limelight. Nearly a year after teaming up with Bibi Bourelly and India Shawn for his debut single, he’s returned to deliver his first full-length project, Fly Away.
Complete with features from Cory Henry, Bibi Bourelly, India Shawn, Tia Gordon, Stacy Barthe, Kenyon Dixon, Musiq Soulchild, IDK, Mali Music, and Eric Bellinger, Fly Away explores broad topics like love, truth, and freedom through personal stories told through metaphor and melodies.
“It’s about having real conversations, and creating stories that stay true to what we are experiencing: melodies, truth, and ultimately… love,” he said about his new project.
The cohesiveness of the project, coupled with the smoothness and soulfulness of each track, opens the door for future projects from the multi-genre maestro. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s show proper appreciation to one of the best R&B projects thus far in 2025 — Fly Away by TAVE.
