Tank’s latest album, “This Is How I Feel” has debuted #1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums Chart and #9 on the Top 200 Albums chart, marking his highest charting to date. Last week, Tank celebrated the release of his fifth studio album with a performance on The Wendy Williams Show, the self-proclaimed “General of R&B” gave a blockbuster headlining performance at last night’s “ATL Live In The Park” music series.
Tank is set to hit the road for the “Summer Music Festival Tour,” which kicks off on July 13th, continues through the summer, and finishing on August 11th in Los Angeles, CA. This new set of dates sees the R&B powerhouse taking amphitheatres nationwide, alongside with R&B legends; Patti Labelle, The O’Jays, Babyface and Maze. Tank will also head to New Orleans in July for the 2012 Essence Music Festival, which also features performances from Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, Keyshia Cole, Fantasia, Charlie Wilson and more. This will be the second year that Tank will take part in the three day festival celebrating contemporary African American music and culture.
