For the last month or so, Quality Control has been on an epic proportions. About a month ago, Lil’ Baby and Gunna teamed up for their joint project, Drip Harder. In mid October, Quavo dropped off his long awaited solo album with features from Madonna, Travis Scott, Drake, 21 Savage and many more. A few weeks later, Cardi B reappeared on streaming platforms with her new single, “Money”. Most recently, Lil’ Baby and Gunna teamed up for a free live performance at Howard’s Homecoming in Washington, D.C. This week, Quality Control is back with their most interesting release of their latest run, Takeoff’s first solo album.
For the better part of a year, Takeoff has been at the end of many jokes on social media. Yes, he was left off “Bad and Boujee”, but he was also on “Versace”. In addition, he’s been a part of a Grammy nominated album and is one of the most talented artists in Hip-Hop today. After a two week roll out of his first solo project, Takeoff has dropped The Last Rocket.
The Atlanta rapper’s first solo project comes on the heels of his latest solo video for “The Last Memory”. In contrast to his fellow group members, Offset and Quavo, Takeoff’s only claim to fame is his contributions to music over the past five years. With that being said, there have been questions surrounding his ability to go solo. Time’s up. Takeoff is here and he is ready to prove that he is every bit the star that his fellow group members are. Stream Takeoff’s first solo project, The Last Rocket, above and be sure to stay tuned next week for new music from Atlanta’s hottest label.
