Don’t call T-Pain’s recent output a come back because he never truly left. If you look around the music landscape, you could make an argument that T-Pain is a huge influence on the current state of Hip-Hop. More recently, T-Pain himself has been a huge presence in Hip-Hop and R&B. Over the last six weeks, he’s made an appearance on Joe Budden’s The Pull Up, released a ton of previously unreleased music and put out a consistent stream of content for Red Bull. Not to mention, he put together the “Boo’d Up” remix to end all “Boo’d Up” remixes.
Showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, T-Pain has followed up his Everything Must Go collection with a new track called “Might Be” featuring Gucci Mane. Earlier in the week, Joe Budden teased the collaboration of his podcast and it sounded phenomenal. With the full track available, it may be safe to say that it has lived up to the expectations of the snippet.
T-Pain delivers his usual slick style over a darker beat with a feature from the East Atlanta legend. On the hook, T-Pain lets you know, “I promise ain’t matter you’ll be like me/Girl, I think I might let you be my wifey/Put some diamonds on your neck, girl have you I see/Or I might just be in a check, I’m still deciding/B*tch, I might be.” Gucci Mane comes in on his verse rapping, “I went and got rich, but I’m trying to be wealthy. My b*tch is so healthy and watch is so chunky.”
