T-Pain has certainly presented himself as one of the artists of the previous generation that loves working with newer acts. In recent years, he’s stepped into the studio with Russ, Flipp Dinero, O.T. Genasis and Joey Bada$$. This week, he linked up with yet another newer act, Kehlani.
At the top of the week, Kehlani and T-Pain got their fans going when they hopped on Instagram Live. Teasing new music, the two danced and vibed through the night. Even with the muffled quality of Instagram Live audio, it was immediately clear that the two had created something incredibly great.
“She always ride with the top down/Even when it’s all I got/Ooh, she got the keys to the boutique/She don’t do 9 to 5/Hundred thousand viewers on her IG live,” T-Pain sings on the first verse.
“And I ain’t goin’ through these gold chains, I’m out here paying rent and all that/Not the type to get the Dom but I’ma get the Ace/After one we never seen anybody face/When they bring the checks, like it’s on my name,” Kehlani adds.
